Our expedition leader makes the first crossing Danger Ahead!

Fortunately, we've planned for this, and we have brought a ladder along to help us over the difficult spots. We've adapted this from the aluminum ladders the Chinese lashed to the Second Step on Mt. Everest.

Manus on the ladder At this altitude, one misstep could lead to disaster.

Above, Marvin, our Native Nebraskan Guide, ropes up second and prepares to cross the hazard.

At left, Manus nearly tumbles over the edge.

A good look at the cause of our efforts to traverse this terrain in the most unusual way. These natural hazards are everywhere we turn (and step) on Panorama Point.
